Cloud Database Solution Architect

Position Description :

Clearance : Secret (must have resided in Canada for 10+ years)

Location : Ottawa or Calgary preferred | Working Hours : EST

As a Cloud Database Solution Architect, you will serve as the lead technical authority driving the design and evolution of cloud database ecosystems within hybrid cloud delivery models. You will architect secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that meet enterprise standards and business needs.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

• Lead cloud database architecture within hybrid cloud models.
• Design solutions for high availability, security, migration, and scalability.
• Plan and execute migrations from on-prem to Azure SQL and Oracle Exadata Cloud.
• Collaborate with teams to align solutions with standards and roadmaps.
• Advise on cloud deployment models and workload portability.
• Architect multi-region / multi-cloud high availability solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

A minimum of five years demonstrated experience with Database Administration (as a DBA and Architect) with experience in the following :
