Insurance Administration Assistant

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

About the Role

The Insurance Administration Assistant is a critical support role requiring exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, and self-directed initiative. Working as an integral member of the Customer Support team, this position serves as a key liaison with Product Management, while managing multiple concurrent priorities and ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced insurance environment.

• Exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive customer information and complex situations
• Take initiative to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive tasks to completion
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision while knowing when to escalate
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs
• Make informed decisions that balance operational efficiency with compliance requirements

Key Responsibilities

Insurance Administration:

• Prepare and process policy documentation, including endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
• Maintain accurate customer, agency, and insurance records within our internal systems
• Collaborate daily with Customer Support team members for sharing of information and addressing (internal and external) stakeholder queries and issues, all with a view of ensuring consistent service delivery
• Support invoicing, billing, underwriting, tax filings, and payment tracking

Business Analysis & Process Management:

• Coordinate between Product Management and Customer Support teams to identify business requirements related to bugs, issues, and new features
• Work with Product Management in the development, review, and implementation of features for the automation of manual support activities.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in business, administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of administrative experience in insurance or financial services
• Proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities with strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter with minimal supervision
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in ambiguous situations
• Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, or process documentation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with databases, document management systems, and MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with insurance companies, brokerages, or managing general agencies
• Knowledge of insurance terminology, processes, and general liability insurance

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this full-time position is $50,000$60,000 per year. The final offer within this range will be based on job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.
