Position Summary
The Regional Ready‑Mix Supervisor manages the day‑to‑day business and operations of Ready‑Mix plants in British Columbia and the Yukon. The role reports to the General Manager of Ready Mix and serves as the liaison between customers, employees, and the company.
Role Purpose
The supervisor oversees operations and performance of Ready‑Mix plants, managing a team of employees, monitoring production processes, ensuring quality and safety standards, and coordinating with other departments to meet production targets and customer requirements. The supervisor optimizes plant efficiency, maintains equipment, manages inventory, and ensures compliance with regulations and company policies.
Key Accountabilities
- Business Development & Customer Relations Management : Lead and be accountable for developing and sustaining Ready‑Mix business in the regions, driving revenue and overall business results.
- Safety and Environmental Compliance : Enforce safety protocols and ensure environmental compliance.
- Financial & Risk Management : Manage the P & L for the regions, monitor accounts receivable, and manage payables.
- Leadership : Build and develop high‑performing regional teams, collaborating closely with other regions and activity teams.
- Facility Management : Inspect plant cleanliness and asset usage, ensuring compliance with Terus standards.
- Operational Management : Foster efficient and profitable operations while reducing costs, waste, and optimizing efficiency.
Health, Safety & Environment
Lead indicator safety metrics and overall regional safety performance.Implement the HSE Program and ensure the HSE Program requirements are met in regions.Provide guidance, direction, and management control for accomplishing HSE goals.Maintain a safe work environment, holding all project team members accountable to Terus safety policies.Collaborate with the General Manager, Regional Safety Supervisor, and HSE Manager to determine HSE outcomes and the means of attaining them.Administer the HSE Program for the area / region and provide regular feedback for necessary changes.Lead by example in creating a best‑in‑class safety culture through Toolbox Talks, corrective actions, and other initiatives.Business Development and Customer Relations Management
Monitor bid opportunities, build local customer relationships, and source new customers.Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries promptly.Pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and local markets.Collaborate with sales, operations, and logistics to ensure seamless coordination and delivery.Prepare and present proposals, bids, and contracts, negotiating terms to secure new business and renewals.Monitor market trends and customer feedback to identify product and service improvement opportunities.Plant Operations Management
Develop, implement, and track maintenance, production, and delivery processes to achieve KPIs.Plan efficient daily production plans.Implement best‑in‑class operational processes, tools, and technology to maximize plant performance.Plan and manage resources (labor, materials, parts, equipment) to support business objectives.Maintain quality control processes to ensure materials meet specifications and industry standards.Resolve production issues related to quality, logistics, equipment, and staffing promptly.Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, additives, and finished products to minimize waste.Coordinate with the Quality Control Supervisors to optimize mix designs.Co‑ordinate with the Aggregate Department for inventory management and delivery logistics.Maintenance Management
Coordinate with Equipment & Shops for preventive and predictive maintenance.Produce maintenance plans and schedules to maximize equipment availability.Work with shop supervisors to schedule production equipment repairs.Coordinate all major repairs with mechanics and the superintendent.Conduct regular inspections to ensure plant cleanliness and assign upkeep tasks.Financial and Risk Management
Prepare quotes and estimates for approval.Assist in accurate budget preparation and forecasting.Prepare performance status reports on costs, forecasts, production data, and rejects.Monitor account receivables, payables, and inventories per Terus guidelines.Key Leadership Responsibilities – Team Supervision

5–10 years of industry experience in a supervisory position or equivalent technical education and industry experience.Technical knowledge of concrete, equipment, and leadership skills to motivate employees.Strong computer skills, including dispatcher software and MS Office.Experience operating and maintaining Ready‑Mix equipment.Strong written and oral communication skills.Technical knowledge of concrete production and construction methods.Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.Transferable Skills

The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000–$130,000 CAD per year. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and skills.
