The In-Room Dining Manager oversees the operations of both the In Room Dining services and the Pool Cabana areas, ensuring the highest level of service and guest satisfaction.
This role includes managing staff, coordinating with other hotel departments, maintaining high standards of service and safety, and ensuring that all operations are in accordance with hotel policies and Forbes 5 Star Standards.

What you will be doing :
- Provide warm, sincere and engaging service
- Ensure your outlet consistently reflects the ambience and service standards set by the leadership team
- Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit through active on the floor communication, training and coaching.
- Oversee the daily operations of the in-room dining service and the pool and cabana areas.
- Ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction in both areas, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and effectively.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance both the in-room dining and pool / cabana experiences.
- Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs while maintaining floor presence
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
- Monitor and control costs and expenses related to both In Room dining and pool / cabana operations
- Ensure the outlets are operating within the standards of a Forbes five star venue
- Create and implement a preventative cleaning and maintenance programs
- Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping, kitchen, food and beverage, and front desk, to coordinate services and enhance the guest experience.
- Participate in hotel meetings and contribute to overall property goals and initiatives.
- Participate in service as necessary in accordance with outlet needs
- Control stocks for daily use in the restaurant to ensure service requirements are met
- Attend and participate in the daily Food and Beverage meetings and conduct daily shift briefings
- Maintain high staff morale and team spirit within the department
- To be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment
- Develop training programs for In Room Dining and Cabana to ensure the continuous growth.
- Participate in the recruitment, training and coaching of new and existing team members within In Room Dining and Cabana
- Attend pre convention & departmental meetings as required for In Room Dining Operations
- Adhere to the budgetary guidelines established for In Room Dining and Cabana (labor, productivity, revenue and expenses)
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process for In Room Dining and Cabana
- Work in conjunction with the Chef and Food & Beverage Director on promotions, menus, and special events.
- Create and innovate new ideas and promotion to generate revenue for In Room Dining and Cabana
- Performs any and all other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include :
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage management and / or pool or recreation management, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
- Problem solving & decision making skills; analytical and highly detail oriented.
- Product knowledge, including a thorough working knowledge of wines, liqueurs and other beverages.
- Proven successful financial performance of restaurant under their operation.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; service oriented and a team player.
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and MS Office software required, Opera Sales & Catering, Open Table and In Design an asset)
- Strong business writing and communication is essential
