What you’ll do
As the Senior Data & Trust Manager, reporting to the Director of Data Ethics & AI Governance, you will provide thought leadership and collaborate with a cross‑functional team to enable a framework for responsible data use. You will :
- Guide business units through opportunities, risks, and benefits of data‑ and AI‑powered products across the lifecycle.
- Work with engineers, researchers, designers, and business teams to embed ethical decision‑making and risk mitigation into technology design and production.
- Define policies, frameworks, and standards for accountability, ethical use, and transparency.
- Educate and influence the community of Data Stewards on responsible innovation.
- Maintain expert knowledge of AI governance tools and best practices; contribute to industry working groups.
- Design participatory, human‑centred engagement methods to include diverse voices throughout the innovation lifecycle.
- Continuously learn, innovate, and demonstrate thought leadership with external stakeholders.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent experience in applied ethics, philosophy, ethical machine learning, human‑computer interaction, social sciences, or related fields.Expertise in data ethics and ethical risk assessments of emerging technology.Experience establishing ethical decision‑making and monitoring processes.Demonstrated knowledge of societal expectations, values identification, and engagement techniques.Highly adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced, nascent field.Creative problem‑solving and multiple solution generation.Strong written and verbal communication in leadership forums.Trustworthy collaborator who embodies integrity and ethical practices.Post‑secondary degree is required.Great‑to‑haves
Bilingualism in English and French (verbal and / or written).Experience in a large, matrixed organization.Experience implementing multidisciplinary data ethics practices with technology, policy, engineering, product, and research teams.Advanced English proficiency for internal collaboration and IT tool interaction.Seniority level
