As the Records and Information Management (RIM) Analyst you will apply broad and specialized knowledge to assist the RIM Consultant and Sr Manager RIM Governance in executing, monitoring and reporting on RIM governance and program performance outcomes from business areas across the group of companies, and deliver trusted advice and counsel to non-conforming business areas.

You will perform research (industry, legal, best-practice), compile and report on key performance data. You will perform complex analytical and interpretive tasks, records reviews across a multitude of business functions, assist in assessing information risk, develop remediation action plans, and works with business partners to develop controls.

You will respond to inquiries, develop / deliver communications, deliver training, and assist in developing best practice processes / guidelines.

How you will create impact :

  • Executes records reviews, documents findings, analyzes results, makes risk assessment recommendations; Assists business partners with remediation action plans, recommends solutions and controls.
  • Proactively follows up with business partners to assess progress and ensure significant issues are addressed in a timely manner.

Documents and escalates issues to Sr Manager as needed.

  • Provides risk analysis and assessment for business partner information process / practice and systems.
  • Provides expert records and information management guidance and advice to business partners.
  • Leads various non-project initiatives and resolution actions facilitating timely and effective completion.
  • Develops communication messaging and general awareness communications for publishing via Source or via targeted emails to individuals or groups.
  • Develops training and awareness content / materials. Effectively coaches, trains and provides support to information owners / custodians on records storage and handling process, concepts and methodologies.
  • Keeps abreast of internal business and external statutory / regulatory changes to ensure the company-wide records retention schedule is maintained accurate and up to date.
  • Performs annual RIM policy and guideline reviews, makes recommendations to Sr Management for modernization and updating

To join our team :

  • You have 5 years of experience in administering institutional records / information management programs.
  • You have a University Degree with preferred major / specialization in business management / administration.
  • You have the ICRM Certified Records Administrator (CRA) designation. Having certification or training in risk management, CRM designation, ARMA or AIIM certificates in information governance, a Business Analyst accreditation or recognized equivalent, and CIP, LOMA or equivalent insurance certification is an asset.
  • You have an extensive comprehension of records management principles and methodologies and proven ability to apply principles and theory to solve routine business challenges .
  • You have strong knowledge of business / systems and comprehension of applications, procedures and workflows.
