Civil Construction Manager - Residential Development

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following :

• Manage and oversee daily site operations for the implementation of sewer and water-main, civil works, road and sidewalk / curb construction, and utilities for phased residential development projects
• Established and manage budgets and schedules for the responsible scopes of work
• Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and site team in coordinating and executing the civil works construction; participate in sub-trade management, contracts and negotiations
• Maintain high levels of health and safety on site at all times
• Report project progress to internal company leadership
• Operate machinery and assist with implementation of civil scopes of work on site as needed
• All other related duties as required

The successful candidate will possess the following :

• 10-15 years of experience working with residential developer / builders or civil contractors, overseeing and implementing site servicing, civil works, sewer / water-main, utilities, and subdivision road construction specifically for residential subdivision development projects (low and mid rise builds)
• Excellent knowledge and experience in established, implementing and adhering to budgets and schedules
• Strong network of trades and industry professionals in this sub-sector of the market
• Strong on site safety track record
• Excellent software application skills (Microsoft Office, Project, Procore, etc.)
• Experience operating heavy machinery on site and overseeing the day to day execution of civil works projects for residential developments
• Strong leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on site in Muskoka, ON
