Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator, for one of our key clients.

A Database and SQL performance expert whose primary responsibility will be to maintain good performance of a complex and mission critical database. Capability and aptitude for deep diving into complex database performance issues is critical for success in this role. The Oracle DBA will be monitoring overall database performance metrics and diagnosing performance issues, doing in depth analysis of SQL Query performance, analyzing query access plan for potential problems, rewriting SQLs for better performance and developing solutions for problematic and slow queries, and performing SQL plan management.

Candidate MUST have the following:

• Valid Federal Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance;
• Oracle Database Certified with over ten (10+) years or more experience;
• Advanced expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting database performance issues;
• Advance SQL query writing skills;
• Deep understanding of database objects and tools to improve performance;
• Database statistics management;
• AWR analysis;
• Server level stats analysis related to CPU, memory and network;
• Good understanding of database views to mine performance data; and
• Knowledge of best practices for good database performance.

Skills that would be an asset:

• Experience with Oracle Golden Gate Knowledge of Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB)
• Bonus – Bilingual (Eng./Fre.)
