Job Summary
Are you a team player who is looking for a great co-op placement in Manufacturing Engineering? We would like to hear from you! We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op student for our Manufacturing Engineering department.
The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering.
As the Manufacturing Engineering Assistant Co-op, you will report directly to the Assistant Manager - Production Engineering and utilize your knowledge, excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills to assist in the Manufacturing Engineering Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for manufacturing engineering and wants to gain valuable experience in a manufacturing environment.
Work Arrangement : On-site, 5 days per week on the Day Shift
Work Term : Fall 2024 (Sept Dec 2024)
Responsibilities
- Work on plant layout updates & preparation of work instructions.
- Assist in CAPEX projects with Project / Manufacturing Engineers.
- Conduct process studies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working alongside designers and engineers to create and improve fixtures.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a registered post-secondary co-op program in Mechanical Engineering.
- Available for a 4 month placement for the Fall 2024 Co-op Work Term.
- Some CAD experience in Solid Edge, Solid Works or AutoCAD.
- Some experience working with machines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
