Shop Labourer

We are looking for a Shop Labourer to join our RM Building Solutions division in Nisku, AB! This position will primarily be responsible for general labour within a shop fabrication / welding environment.

This position has a strong potential to develop into a fabrication or welding apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Perform general tasks related to material handling, clean up, etc.
• Basic tool and machinery operations and other manufacturing tasks.
• Assist tradespersons and other fabrication personnel.
• Transport materials and products throughout the shop.
• Clean work areas and equipment.
• Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
• Instill a culture of safety and maintain occupational health and safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and transportation to work.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with welding or fabrication is an asset, but not required.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Safety conscious.

Hours of Work

Hours of work may vary with a regular working schedule of Monday through Friday, shifts starting at 6AM. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Candidates must undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as part of the hiring process.
