Make an impact early in your engineering career—on infrastructure that millions rely on every day. In the role of Pipeline Integrity Planning Engineer, you’ll help protect the safety and reliability of Enbridge’s Liquids Pipeline system by transforming Inline Inspection data into engineering insights that prevent failures before they happen. Working alongside experienced integrity professionals, you’ll contribute to decisions that safeguard communities and the environment, gain exposure to industry‑leading integrity practices, and see the real‑world impact of your work on one of North America’s most critical energy networks.

Apply today, we'd love to hear from you!

What You Will Do:

  • Develop Inline Inspection programs (ILI), including selection of appropriate ILI tool technologies, determination of reinspection intervals, and forecasting of integrity digs.

  • Conduct integrity assessments such as fit for service evaluations, crack fatigue analysis, corrosion growth rate calculations, and threat interaction assessments.

  • Evaluate ILI tool performance and investigate data discrepancies by comparing Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) results from integrity digs against ILI data.

  • Support operational change assessments and incident investigations through engineering analysis and technical recommendations.

  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and recommendations to support pipeline integrity decision making.

  • Collaborate with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on industry papers, technical studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Who You Are:

  • Completion of a degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.

  • Registered member with APEGA as P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta.

  • A minimum of four years of dynamically responsible experience in engineering.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with excellent presentation and technical writing skills.

  • Understanding of pipeline strength evaluation methods is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Occasional travel (<5%) to field excavations, industry committees/conferences, and other office locations. Valid passport is required.

Benefits:

  • A flexible benefits program that allows each employee to select the level of coverage needed for their family in the areas of health, dental, insurance and disability.

  • A paid maternity and parental leave benefit that offers up to 20 weeks of paid leave for birth-giving parents and up to 12 weeks for other eligible parents, providing flexibility and support during this important life event.

  • Valuable retirement savings plans, including a savings plan with company stock as an investment option.

  • Paid time off/vacation/sick, plus paid personal days off (depending on location), and paid holidays.

  • An Employee and Family Assistance Program.

  • A Wellness Program, which focuses on supporting healthier employees by providing tools, resources, and opportunities to improve physical, mental, social, and financial well-being.

  • Enbridge’s FlexWork (hybrid work model) offers eligible employees (Manager and below) the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, opt for a compressed work week schedule, or have flexible start and end times. Role requirements determine your eligibility for each option. #LI-Hybrid
