Job Overview: GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Commercial Diver to join our Valued Clients team in the Alberta region.
This is a contract position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety in challenging environments.
Responsibilities: Perform underwater construction, maintenance, and inspection tasks Operate marine equipment including boats, barges, and dredges Follow all company and industry safety standards and procedures Conduct Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA) Report and assist in resolving hazards, incidents, and near-misses Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Diver Certification Board of Canada (DCBC) certification Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A3 or SDV-BS certification Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP) Valid Class 5 driver’s license with acceptable driving record Current, physician-approved diver medical certification Minimum 3 years of marine equipment operation experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience in underwater industrial or construction environments Willingness to travel and work on varied project schedules Work Environment: Work in underwater and marine environments with limited visibility Exposure to rough waters, weather conditions, and physical hazards Interaction with teams, clients, and subcontractors in dynamic settings Benefits: Competitive hourly compensation with overtime opportunities Flexible, project-based work assignments Opportunities to work on diverse and challenging projects Comprehensive Benefits Package: We offer a robust benefits package designed to support the well-being of our employees and their families, including: Life insurance: $100,000 for the employee AD&D insurance: Matching life insurance with critical illness and cancer coverage Dependent life insurance: $10,000 for spouse, $5,000 per child Extended health care: Drug, hospital, hearing, orthotics, nursing, and more Paramedical services: Annual coverage for services like chiro, physio, massage, and mental health Vision care: Glasses, contacts, laser surgery, and exams Dental care: 80% basic/comp services ($2,500), 50% major ($2,500), $2,500 ortho for children Travel insurance: Up to $5,000,000 per incident for trips up to 90 days Call to Action: Apply now to join GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd.
