We are currently seeking an Intermediate Piping Engineer to support our dynamic team. As an integral member of the team, you will have an opportunity to provide your expertise to the disciplines in the design, installation, procurement, registration and testing of oil & gas facilities.
You will also have the opportunity to create and enhance approaches to pipe stress problems as well as contribute to piping design and materials selection.
Your pride in providing technical support and expertise in all matters relating to pipe stress analysis will be a vital part of this diverse and interesting position.
Responsibilities :
- Prepares and reviews project P&IDs, LDT, Tie-in List and MSD.
- Manages procurement cycle for piping related items pipes, fittings, valves, specialty components.
- Prepare and assess Piping Specialty Items
- Draft and review RFQ / RFP
- Develop and review EWP
- Review and approve vendor drawings and documents
- Design and calculate the piping items / components
- Develop piping material specifications
- Review and approve ITP, WPS and PQR
- Establishes and provides input into project design specifications, piping design reviews, drawings and isometrics
- Conducts document checks and design verification in accordance with company and project procedures
- Works closely with design engineers and designers to initiate, analyze and resolve issues
- Professionally seals all applicable documents
Skills and Qualifications :
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- Must be registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with EGBC as well as APEGA
- Preferably with at least 3 years of experience in Stress Analysis
- Knowledge of piping stress analysis, with CAESAR II and / or AUTOPIPE required
- Knowledge in ASME B31.3 and CSA Z662 Design codes
- Demonstrated success working within specified budgets and schedules and meeting project requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of piping design requirements, piping materials and components, practices and standards as well as piping specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Position requires some travel to site depending on project requirements

Salary is based on an average of 37.5 hours a week. The competitive salary will be based on skills and experience.
Estimated range is between $70,200-$156,000
