Job details : Position : Sr. Mechanical Design EngineerLocation : CanadaReporting to : Engineering DirectorQualification : Engineering degree in Mechanical or equivalent Job Role : Engineering ScopeDesigns machines / equipment’s in accordance with the international applicable norms and as per customer requirement.
Completes projects mandates within defined targets while meeting customer expectations.Produces the BOM for any new design or change in designValidate the BOM for existing design before hand-off to productionProduces all documentation for production and installation.
Produces Maintenance and Operations documentation of the designed equipment’s for customer use.Accountable for handshake with production for fabrication of equipment’s and assure that they have all support to successfully fabricate these equipment’sSupports other mechanical engineering team membersInteracts with purchasing to make sure to procure the right items as per the specification and in timely manner to produce proposals.
Supports purchasing team in the selection of the suppliersAdopts processes and tools to improves efficiency.Helps resolve technical questions that may arise during project execution.
Interfaces with the customer as required in collaboration with the sales and project teamsSales SupportSupports sales team during bid preparation.
Active involvement on the definition of the project execution plan and cost estimation during the quotation phase.Alignment with Sales team to provide the required expertise for the Solutions offered to our customers.
Applies Process expertise and Solutions knowledge when preparing technical and economic proposals considering best cost solutions to meet customer needs and Company sales strategy.
Supports the sales team on any technical / commercial aspect, during customer negotiations and closing of the deal.Skills Required : Engineering degree in Mechanical or equivalentIn-depth industry and market knowledgeStrong knowledge of products and solutions within Industrial Robotics & Automation marketCustomer service and or sales experienceTeam managementCompetencies
