DeWalt Service Technician – Part Time (M-F)

Description
Join our dedicated team and play a pivotal role in providing high‑quality repair services for DeWalt, Stanley, Black & Decker, and Bostitch tools. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will handle estimations, work order processing, customer support, inventory management, and day‑to‑day branch operations.

Responsibilities
- Estimation and completion of repairs, including proper identification of SKUs and parts needed
- Processing of service work orders, logging, tracking, and follow‑up
- Provide over‑the‑counter repairs for Black & Decker, DEWALT, Stanley and Bostitch tools
- Provide technical assistance to distributors, end users and staff
- Process customer requirements, parts and accessories through a POS terminal and internal computer network (SAP / MGV)
- Provide parts identification, product application, product information to customers by phone, counter, mail and fax
- Verify and administer warranties on products through date codes, parts condition identification
- Inventory control – ordering of parts and product SKUs to maintain service levels at established inventory turns
- Ensure courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient service to all customers to maximize 100 % customer satisfaction
Coordinate and follow up with customer parts and tool orders
Make day‑by‑day operational decisions, and coordinate all processes such as cash controls, returns, warranties, paper routines to comply with internal audit standardsGeneral service branch opening and closing responsibilities, including cash registers and computersAssist with shipping and receiving within the Branch and other dutiesQualifications & Experience
Graduate of a community college or trade school preferredCompressor repair experience on equipment is an assetExperience in a service environment is a must, preferably with power tool repair experienceEffective communication and sales skills, and experience working directly with the publicStrong organizational skills and ability to complete tasks in tight time framesKnowledge of cash registers and computers, especially Microsoft Office, is an assetBenefits & Opportunities
