Corporate Controller - Toronto

Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Corporate Controller in Toronto for a growing, acquisitive public software company. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a CPA-designated accounting professional with deep IFRS, public-company reporting, consolidation, technical accounting and internal controls experience.

Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will lead the corporate accounting and financial reporting function while helping build scalable processes to support continued growth through acquisition. This role offers direct visibility with executive leadership, the opportunity to develop a strong finance team and meaningful influence over how the finance function evolves.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead quarterly and annual IFRS reporting, including consolidated financial statements, MD&A preparation and Audit Committee materials.
- Own the consolidated close process across domestic and international entities, including intercompany transactions and foreign currency matters.
- Lead technical accounting for software revenue recognition, business combinations, impairment analysis and share-based compensation.
- Serve as the primary contact for the external audit and oversee statutory audits across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and support CEO and CFO public-company certifications.
- Oversee tax provisions, compliance, treasury activities, cash forecasting, banking relationships, covenant reporting and acquisition accounting integration.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $165,000 to $190,000 per year.
