Junior Full Stack Developer

Position Description: Junior Full Stack Developer Clearance: Eligible for security clearance at the reliability (5+ years residing in Canada) Remote Must work EST time Overview We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using AI Code Assistants. You will work across both front end and back end systems, collaborating with designers, product owners, and other developers to deliver high quality solutions. You will be part of a team creating new services and applications using the latest technologies.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities . Build solutions with Spec Driven Development using AI Code Assistants . Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications . Design and develop code structures based on technical design defined by the team Build and maintain back end services, APIs, and databases . Write clean, well tested, and maintainable code . Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices . Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver features . Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance . Contribute to system architecture and technical discussions . Maintain documentation for code and systems Nice to Have Skills . Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Openshift) . Experience with AI assisted development tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist) . Knowledge and interest in learning Docker and Cloud based solutions such as (AWS and Openshift). . Knowledge of automated testing frameworks Soft Skills . Strong problem solving and analytical skills . Good communication and collaboration abilities . Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines . Willingness to learn new technologies and approaches

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required Qualifications . Hands on experience with at least 1 or 2 years of Java development experience writing Java Code, REST APIs or Micro Services. . Knowledge and/or experience of React, Java 8, REST API/Micro services, Spring Framework (MVC, Security, JPA, Boot) Maven, SQL . Experience in at least one front end framework (e.g., React, Angular) . Experience with back end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java, .NET, Python) . Knowledge of SQL databases . Familiarity with version control systems (Git) . Understanding and learning of software development best practices and design patterns . Ability to work independently and as part of a team CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000–$115,000. This role is an existing vacancy. #LI-RD12
