Job Description:


Reporting to the Chair, Teaching Excellence & Innovation, the Manager, AI Integration & Academic Innovation is responsible for advancing the College's artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives by coordinating the implementation of strategic AI projects and pilot portfolios that support institutional teaching and learning priorities. The incumbent provides enterprise-level coordination and integration across Learning and Teaching Services (LTS) and collaborates with academic and administrative partners to ensure AI initiatives are implemented consistently, evaluated effectively, and aligned with institutional objectives.

The position develops implementation frameworks, operational processes, evaluation methodologies, and reporting mechanisms that support the governance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI initiatives. Working across multiple portfolios, the incumbent synthesizes findings, identifies emerging opportunities and organizational risks, and provides evidence-informed recommendations to support leadership decision-making regarding the adoption, refinement, and scaling of AI initiatives.

The Manager provides functional leadership for project teams and cross-portfolio AI initiatives by facilitating collaboration among internal representatives, coordinating project activities, guiding implementation approaches, and promoting consistent institutional practices. The position works in partnership with Learning and Teaching Services teams responsible for faculty development and instructional support to ensure AI initiatives are effectively aligned, integrated, and implemented.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Training:

  • Minimum four (4) year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, Education, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Professional certifications in project management, change management, or artificial intelligence are considered assets.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, digital technologies, and their application in a post-secondary environment.

Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in:

  • Experience coordinating complex projects, initiatives, or programs in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Experience developing processes, frameworks, reports, and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience related to artificial intelligence, digital transformation, educational technology, or innovation initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Experience in a post-secondary or similarly complex organizational environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and project collaboration tools.
  • Proficiency with AI tools that leverage Large Language Models (LLM) and digital creation
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
