Bilingual Logistics Coordinator

Adecco is currently hiring a Bilingual Logistics Coordinator for a growing manufacturing company in Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in logistics, transportation, freight coordination, supply chain, customs documentation, cross-border shipping, and carrier management.

As a Bilingual Logistics Coordinator, you will oversee domestic and cross-border shipments, manage carrier relationships, coordinate freight activities, and help ensure products are delivered on time and cost-effectively.

• Pay Rate: $25-$27/hour

• Location: Ottawa, ON

Responsibilities:
Transportation & Logistics

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including Canada-U.S. freight.

• Obtain freight quotes and negotiate competitive transportation rates.

• Select cost-effective shipping methods while maintaining service requirements.

• Manage carrier relationships and resolve transportation issues.

• Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers.

Customs & Documentation

• Prepare and review shipping, customs, and import/export documentation.

• Ensure compliance with cross-border transportation requirements.

• Monitor tariffs, duties, and transportation regulations.

• Investigate freight discrepancies and resolve invoicing concerns.

Supply Chain Coordination

• Maintain accurate logistics records and reporting.

• Partner with production, suppliers, carriers, and customer service teams to ensure on-time delivery.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to transportation and freight management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight coordination.

• Experience managing domestic and cross-border shipments.

• Knowledge of customs, import/export documentation, tariffs, and freight processes.

• Experience negotiating freight rates and managing carrier relationships.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Fully bilingual in English and French (written and spoken).

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Knowledge of U.S. transportation and customs requirements is considered a strong asset.

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
