Use advanced analytics to connect client and market data, uncover signals Leaders cannot yet see and turn complex questions into evidence they can act on.

What will your typical day look like?

Reporting to the Manager, Delivery & Innovation, you will own and evolve the Market Model—our proprietary data product for market size, share and growth across Businesses, Portfolios, Industries, Sectors and Markets. You will manage the model’s analytical methodology, data refreshes and quality, ensuring it provides a trusted and current view of market demand and Deloitte’s position within it.

• You will source, prepare and integrate internal and external datasets; assess data quality; maintain calculations and assumptions; and apply statistical and predictive methods to refine estimates and forecasts.
• You will monitor changes in market size, share, growth and macroeconomic drivers, identifying where forecasts or prior views should be adjusted and surfacing emerging shifts early enough for Leaders to act.
• You will lead the development of the Market Model dashboard, Excel extracts and reusable analytical views, enabling Leaders to explore the data by Business, Portfolio, Industry, Sector and Market without requiring MS&I intervention.
• You will respond to complex market questions and work closely with MS&I colleagues, providing reliable market evidence and analysis that supports data-driven discovery, market outlooks and strategic growth choices.

Across these responsibilities, you will bring robust subject-matter expertise and a Leader-centric mindset—understanding the question behind the request, recommending the right analytical approach and delivering market intelligence Leaders can trust and act on. Working collaboratively across MS&I, you will take ownership for the quality and timely delivery of the Market Model, proactively address data, methodological and delivery risks, and continuously improve the model, tools and ways of working. As a peer coach, you will share expertise, document methods and strengthen analytical capability across the team.

Positions based in Quebec: Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients and project teams.

Market Sensing & Intelligence sits within the Relationships Office. Our mandate is to bring an outside-in perspective to the decisions that shape the firm’s priorities, investments and growth. We work across three connected lenses—what clients tell us through our Voice of Client program, what the market tells us through our model of size, share and growth, and what our relationships tell us about the strength of those connections.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

• Strong applied expertise in market sizing, forecasting, econometrics, statistical modelling and predictive analytics, with the judgment to select appropriate methods, validate assumptions and communicate uncertainty.
• Deep hands-on experience sourcing, preparing, integrating and analyzing large, complex datasets from internal and external sources.
• Proficiency with analytical languages and tools such as Python, R, SQL, Excel and Power BI, with experience automating data preparation, modelling or reporting workflows.
• Experience designing and maintaining analytical models, including documented methodologies, assumptions, calculations, validation controls and reproducible processes.
• Experience designing dashboards, visualizations and self-service analytical products that make market size, share, growth and forecast data accessible to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to interpret macroeconomic, industry and business trends, explain implications and limitations clearly, and translate analysis into market intelligence Leaders can trust and act on.
• Strong ownership of data quality and timely delivery, including proactive identification and escalation of data, methodological or operational risks.
• Degree or equivalent experience in economics, econometrics, data science, statistics, mathematics, business analytics or a related quantitative field, with five or more years of relevant experience.

• Experience with professional-services, labour-market, industry, government or third-party market datasets, including sources such as Statistics Canada.
• Experience developing, deploying or governing analytical models and data products in an enterprise environment.
• Experience applying machine learning, scenario modelling, generative AI or automation to market forecasting and analytical workflows.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
