To learn more about Good Shepherd, visit our website at opportunity is with Good Shepherd –Early Intervention Program (School-Based Health Wellness Centres).How You Will Make an ImpactAccountable to the Director, Barrett Centre for Crisis Support, the Nurse Practitioner will provide primary health care services to individuals through two high school-based health and wellness clinic sites.Working within the full scope of Nurse Practitioner practice, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive and focused health assessments, diagnose and treat illness and injury, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribe and administer medications and treatments, and provide health education, counselling and wellness support.The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with students, families, school administrators and staff, Good Shepherd teams, physicians, specialists, hospitals and community service providers to support the health and well-being of individuals. The role will also assist with connecting clients to primary care, mental health and psychiatry services and other appropriate community resources.The successful candidate will use a holistic, client-centered and harm reduction approach, with consideration for the psychological, social, cultural and environmental factors affecting each individual.
