The Infrastructure Supervisor is responsible for leading infrastructure maintenance activities and ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of railway infrastructure assets. This role provides technical leadership, coordinates maintenance resources, oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities, supports winter operations, and ensures compliance with Alstom, customer, and regulatory requirements. The position plays a critical role in maintaining revenue service availability while driving continuous improvement, safety, and operational performance.

Your Role, Your Impact

As an Infrastructure Supervisor, you will support the safe and reliable operation of infrastructure assets by leading maintenance activities, coordinating technical resources, and ensuring compliance with Alstom and customer requirements. You will work closely with maintenance teams, contractors, operations personnel, and stakeholders to maintain service performance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Product and work safety assurance
  • Act as the point of contact for all Infrastructure Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities during maintenance hours
  • Work with Infrastructure Supervisor to update the master maintenance schedule
  • Ensure technician teams are dispatched correctly and EHS requirements are met
  • Ensure permits, access documentation, tools, and equipment are available before work begins
  • Monitor attendance, absenteeism, punctuality, and approve weekly hours through UKG
  • Carry out technical, quality, safety, and general briefings
  • Conduct random spot inspections and quality audits
  • Monitor GSI and IMIRS and ensure timely completion of corrective work orders
  • Generate daily maintenance reportsLead and coordinate snow operations planning and reporting
  • Support training, competency management, and workforce planning
  • Oversee contractor compliance
  • Conduct risk assessments and reliability improvement activities
  • Encourage professional development
  • Other relevant responsibilities as assigned by manager

You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

  • +10 years of experience within railway industry
  • General knowledge of all Infrastructure systems with a specialization in Track Maintenance. Track maintenance experience is mandatory for this role.
  • TIGS Qualified
  • Solid understanding and practical application of AREMA standards and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience working within a unionized environment in Canada.
  • Knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives.
  • Strong planning, organization, and resource management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet operational deadlines.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems, ERP solutions, and timekeeping systems (SAP or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and rotating shifts (mandatory)
  • Fluent in English.

  • Delivery of the Maintenance Daily Plan
  • Responsible for timely response and rectification of corrective work orders
  • Adequate resource planning
  • Technical responsibility for assigned discipline (Track/OCS/Power/Signal & Communication)
  • Successful implementation of snow removal plans and procedures

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
