What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Manager in Deloitte's Technology Strategy & Transformation (TS&T) practice, you will lead enterprise architecture engagements for government and public-sector clients. You will work closely with senior executives and technology leaders to clarify business priorities, assess current environments, and define practical target architectures, operating models, roadmaps, and governance approaches.

You will provide senior oversight across complex programs, shape high-quality client deliverables, manage risks and dependencies, and guide multidisciplinary teams from strategy through execution. Your public-sector experience will help teams navigate government decision-making, procurement, security, policy, and delivery environments while keeping recommendations focused on measurable outcomes.

Beyond client delivery, you will help grow the GPS enterprise architecture portfolio by building trusted relationships, identifying opportunities, supporting proposals, and contributing reusable methods and thought leadership. You will coach practitioners, strengthen architecture capability across the practice, and help develop a high-performing and inclusive team.

This Ottawa-based role requires the ability to deploy quickly to sensitive federal engagements. The successful candidate must hold, at minimum, a valid Reliability Status security clearance and be able to maintain the clearance required for client work.

About the team

The TS&T practice works closely with CxOs at the intersection of business and technology to articulate and solve key business problems, leveraging technology. The focus is to maximize business value from IT investments, drive organizational performance, and help our clients become more agile and productive.

We are a diverse group of forward-thinking professionals passionate about bridging the gap between business and technology. We bring together deep industry expertise, technical know-how, and creative problem-solving to help clients modernize their technology landscapes and achieve their strategic goals. Whether we are advising on cloud adoption, tackling technical debt, or designing future-ready IT strategies, we work collaboratively, supporting one another and celebrating each other’s successes. At TS&T, you will find a culture of mentorship, innovation, and continuous learning where every team member is empowered to contribute, grow, and make a meaningful impact.

Our team brings an independent and technology agnostic perspective across all aspects of the technology function and the business-technology lifecycle, ensuring alignment and readiness to serve the overall business vision. Our people include cross-industry professionals, ex-CIOs, and tech experts supported by powerful assets and robust frameworks.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

Relevant skills

  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, enterprise architecture, or technology advisory, including leadership of complex client engagements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Technology Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Significant public-sector experience, with a strong understanding of Canadian government organizations, decision-making, procurement, security, and delivery environments.
  • A valid Reliability Status security clearance, at minimum, with the ability to obtain and maintain additional federal security clearance as required.
  • Experience defining enterprise architecture strategies, target-state architectures, transition roadmaps, standards, governance, and operating models.
  • Ability to connect business capabilities, information, applications, integration, and technology into coherent architecture recommendations.
  • Experience applying recognized architecture methods and frameworks, such as TOGAF, capability-based planning, business architecture, or equivalent approaches.
  • Strong executive and board-level communication, facilitation, analysis, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams while ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams, including scope, plans, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, account growth, proposal development, and building long-term client relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, structure complex problems, and translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Knowledge of cloud, infrastructure, enterprise applications, data, cybersecurity, digital workplace, and emerging technologies, including AI.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with architecture repositories, modelling tools, and AI-enabled productivity tools.
