What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you will help financial services clients address complex financial crime and regulatory challenges through advanced quantitative analytics, statistical modeling, and model risk management. Leveraging your technical expertise and our global network of specialists, you will support clients in the design, development, validation, optimization, and governance of AML risk models.


As part of the AML Analytics team, you will work with leading financial institutions to build and independently validate models used across the AML lifecycle, including customer risk rating (CRR), transaction monitoring (TM), sanctions screening, and other financial crime detection frameworks. You will evaluate model design, methodology, data quality, assumptions, performance, and governance in accordance with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.


You will collaborate closely with data scientists, model developers, risk managers, and business stakeholders to deliver rigorous analytics that enhance risk management capabilities and regulatory compliance. This role provides opportunities to work on advanced statistical techniques, machine learning applications, model monitoring and calibration, and scenario design.

You are someone with:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • For Analyst, 0-2 years of relevant experience; for Consultant, 2-4 years; for Senior Consultant, 4+ years of experience in model development, model validation, quantitative analytics, or financial crime modeling.
  • Experience in AML, financial crime, model risk management, analytics, or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Experience developing, validating, tuning, or monitoring analytical models, preferably within AML or other regulatory risk management domains.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques, including regression analysis, segmentation methods, clustering, classification models, threshold optimization, and performance assessment methodologies.
  • Experience with AML model development and validation, including customer risk rating, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, or financial crime detection models.
  • Hands-on experience evaluating model assumptions, methodology, data lineage, feature selection, calibration, performance metrics, and model limitations.
  • Knowledge of model risk management frameworks and regulatory guidance, including SR 11-7, OSFI E-23, ECB TRIM, or equivalent model governance expectations.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, R, SAS, or similar analytical languages, with experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Experience conducting exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model performance testing, back-testing, sensitivity analysis, benchmarking, and outcome analysis.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application within financial services environments.
  • Understanding of banking products, customer behaviors, and transaction flows relevant to financial crime risk detection.
  • Experience preparing model documentation, validation reports, technical assessments, and regulatory-facing deliverables.
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts and model findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CAMS, CFCS, or similar credentials are considered an asset.

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
