Who we are

The Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) is a national not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to ensuring an appreciation of our natural world and a lasting legacy of healthy wildlife and habitat. By spreading knowledge of human impacts on the environment, developing and delivering educational programs, conducting research, promoting the sustainable use of natural resources, and advocating for effective wildlife policy and regulation, CWF strives for a future in which Canada’s wildlife is conserved for generations to come.

Diversity is a fundamental part of our core values; we create every opportunity to become more inclusive. We encourage applications from qualified candidates from all diverse communities including, but not limited to, Indigenous persons, racially visible persons, people with disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+, and women in non-traditional roles.

Position Overview

At the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF), technology and information are essential to advancing our mission to conserve and inspire the conservation of Canada's wildlife and habitats. Reporting to the Vice President, Operations and CFO, the Director, Information Management and Technology provides operational leadership for the organization's information management and technology functions, ensuring our people have the secure, reliable, and effective systems, data, and digital tools they need to deliver meaningful conservation outcomes.

Working closely with leaders and staff across the organization, the Director implements technology priorities, modernizes systems and processes, strengthens information governance, and enables technology solutions that improve collaboration, decision-making, and organizational effectiveness.

As CWF's senior operational leader for information management and technology, the Director provides leadership to staff and external service providers while ensuring technology services are secure, reliable, responsive, and aligned with organizational needs. The role champions continuous improvement, manages technology risks, and fosters a service-oriented culture that equips employees with the information and technology they need to support wildlife conservation and engage Canadians from coast to coast to coast.
