About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary Full Time Manager, Business Change Enablement to join our dynamic Internal Customer Experience team.

The Internal Customer Experience team is responsible for managing the delivery and operation of IT services that support employee experience and productivity, blood operations, data and analytics, and optimization, helping Digital Solutions & Technology (DST) deliver effective, reliable, and consistent services.

Reporting to the Director, Internal Customer Experience, as the Manager, Business Change Enablement, you will lead change management activities that support the successful adoption of technology solutions across Canadian Blood Services. Working closely with DST, Business Analysts, project teams, divisional leaders, and operational stakeholders, you will assess the impact of technology implementations on business processes, workflows, employee roles, and experiences.

You will develop adoption plans, training and enablement approaches, process documentation, and communication strategies that support employees through new ways of working. Acting as a bridge between technology delivery and business operations, you will help ensure changes are understood, adopted, and translated into meaningful operational improvements.

This role will focus on business readiness, post-implementation adoption, process optimization, and continuous improvement activities to maximize the value of enterprise technology investments. You will work independently while influencing stakeholders across the organization and aligning activities with the change and customer experience frameworks established by the Director, Internal Customer Experience and the Digital Solutions & Technology division.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your expertise in organizational change management, you will assess the impacts of technology-enabled change on business processes, employee roles and operating models, helping teams adopt new ways of working and realize intended business benefits.
  • Drawing on your ability to build trusted relationships and influence without direct authority, you will partner with leaders, project teams, business analysts and stakeholders to create alignment, address concerns and support successful change outcomes.
  • Applying your change management expertise, you will develop and execute business readiness, adoption and enablement strategies that equip employees with the knowledge, skills and support needed to confidently transition to new technologies, processes and workflows.
  • Through thoughtful stakeholder engagement, communications planning and training approaches, you will identify adoption risks and barriers early, implementing actions that improve readiness and strengthen workforce engagement.
  • Applying your knowledge of business process analysis and continuous improvement, you will document current and future-state workflows, identify optimization opportunities and support the integration of technology changes into daily operations.
  • By monitoring adoption outcomes, training effectiveness, employee experience and operational performance, you will measure success, provide actionable insights and help maximize value from technology investments.
  • Utilizing your facilitation, coaching and problem-solving skills, you will guide leaders through organizational change, support post-implementation reviews and contribute to the development of sustainable change and enablement practices across the organization.

Desired Education and Skills

  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Change Management, Human Resources, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • A graduate degree or relevant certification in Organizational Change Management, Business Process Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, Organizational Effectiveness, Business Analysis, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Minimum ten years of experience leading and supporting complex change management initiatives, business improvement projects, technology implementations, and/or consulting engagements, with demonstrated ability to manage large-scale initiatives and achieve measurable results.
  • Experience assessing the impact of technology implementations on business processes, workflows, employee roles, and organizational effectiveness, with strong understanding of process analysis, optimization, and workflow redesign.
  • Subject matter expertise in change management methodologies, communication strategies, training needs assessments, enablement strategies, and adoption planning to support successful technology-related initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to measure adoption outcomes, operational effectiveness, and benefits realization following implementation, while translating technical and system changes into business impacts and employee-focused adoption strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders without direct authority, work independently, adapt to changing priorities, develop innovative solutions, and support national travel requirements.

What we offer you

  • Percentage in lieu of benefits and vacation.
  • Annual performance award up to 10%.
  • Defined benefit pension plan.
  • Employee discounts, wellness program, professional resources.

What you can expect

  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services office 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
  • This role may require travel for events, team meetings and project commitments.
