Financial Advisor

Position Summary

The Financial Advisor is responsible for contributing to the firm's growth by developing new client relationships while delivering an exceptional client experience.

The successful candidate guides clients through every stage of the financial planning process—from discovering their needs to implementing recommendations, conducting annual reviews, and building long-term client relationships.

Working collaboratively with internal specialists, the Financial Advisor develops and presents integrated retirement, tax, investment, insurance, and estate planning strategies designed to help clients achieve their financial goals. Success is measured by new business development, client retention, revenue growth, client satisfaction, and an exceptional client experience.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Generate New Business
  • Engage with qualified prospects generated through the firm, referral partners, and marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand clients' personal and business needs, priorities, and financial objectives.
  • Identify planning opportunities and recommend integrated financial strategies.
  • Present the firm's value proposition and guide prospects through the decision-making process.
  • Consistently achieve business development, activity, and revenue objectives.
  1. Deliver Comprehensive Financial Planning
  • Prepare and present comprehensive corporate strategies, retirement, and estate planning recommendations.
  • Guide clients through the implementation of recommendations.
  • Stay current on industry trends, financial planning strategies, and regulatory requirements.
  1. Lead Client Relationships
  • Serve as the primary advisor for an assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Conduct annual review meetings and provide proactive follow-up.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience through timely response and trusted advice.
  • Identify new planning opportunities as clients' needs evolve.
  • Build long-term relationships that promote client retention and loyalty.
  1. Drive Organic Growth
  • Ask for introductions as part of ongoing client reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate outside assets and deepen existing client relationships.
  • Participate in educational webinars, client events, and marketing initiatives.
  • Contribute to the firm's continued growth through relationship management and community engagement.
  1. Compliance & Operational Excellence
  • Maintain accurate client records and CRM documentation.
  • Complete a Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) for prospective clients.
  • Ensure Know Your Client (KYC) information and regulatory documentation remain current.
  • Comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain all required licenses, professional designations, and continuing education requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Life Insurance License (LLQP) and Mutual Fund License (CIRO) in good standing.
  • Proven success in business development, consultative sales, and relationship management.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in both English and French.
  • Assets include a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in good standing, as well as proficiency with financial planning software.

Education and Experience

  • Proven track-record in sales and/or experiences in financial services, ideally working with business owners, incorporated professionals, or high-net-worth clients.
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • New clients onboarded, revenue generated, assets under management gathered, and insurance premium placed.
  • Opportunity conversion rate, client retention, and client satisfaction.
  • Referrals and introductions received, as well as annual client reviews completed.

Le ou la conseiller(ère) en sécurité financière et en gestion de patrimoine est responsable de contribuer à la croissance de l’entreprise en développant de nouvelles relations d’affaires, tout en offrant une expérience-conseil exceptionnelle.

En collaboration avec les spécialistes internes, le ou la conseiller(ère) élabore et présente des stratégies intégrées en matière de retraite, de fiscalité, de placement, d’assurance et de planification successorale afin d’aider les clients à atteindre leurs objectifs financiers.

Principales responsabilités

  1. Développer de nouvelles affaires
  • Échanger avec les prospects qualifiés provenant de l’entreprise, des partenaires et des initiatives marketing.
  • Réaliser des rencontres de découverte afin de comprendre les besoins et les priorités des clients.
  • Identifier les occasions de planification et proposer des stratégies financières intégrées.
  • Présenter la proposition de valeur de l’entreprise et accompagner les prospects dans leur prise de décision.
  • Atteindre les objectifs de développement de clientèle, d’activités et de revenus.
  1. Offrir une planification financière globale
  • Préparer et présenter des recommandations en matière de retraite, de fiscalité, de placement, d’assurance et de planification successorale.
  • Coordonner les spécialistes internes afin d’offrir des solutions intégrées.
  • Accompagner les clients dans la mise en œuvre des recommandations.
  • Maintenir ses connaissances à jour quant aux tendances de l’industrie et aux exigences réglementaires.
  1. Assurer la gestion des relations clients
  • Agir comme personne-conseillère principale auprès d’un portefeuille de clients.
  • Réaliser les révisions annuelles et assurer des suivis proactifs.
  • Offrir une expérience client de grande qualité grâce à des communications rapides et des conseils personnalisés.
  • Identifier de nouvelles occasions selon l’évolution des besoins.
  • Favoriser la fidélisation et la satisfaction de la clientèle.

  • Maintenir à jour les dossiers clients et la documentation dans le CRM.
  • Réaliser une analyse des besoins financiers auprès des clients potentiels.
  • Assurer la mise à jour des renseignements « Connaître son client » et des documents réglementaires.
  • Respecter les politiques internes et les exigences de conformité.
  • Maintenir ses permis, ses titres professionnels et sa formation continue en règle.

Qualifications requises

  • Permis en assurance de personnes et en épargne collective valides et en règle.
  • Expérience démontrée en développement des affaires, en vente-conseil et en gestion de la relation client.
  • Excellentes habiletés en présentation, en communication et en négociation.
  • Maîtrise de l’anglais et du français (bilingue et fluide).
  • Atouts : Titre de planificateur financier ou désignation CFP® en règle, ainsi que maîtrise des systèmes de gestion de la relation client et des logiciels de planification financière.

Formation et expérience recherchée

  • Détenir un diplôme en ___ ou toute autre formation jugée pertinente.
  • Posséder un minimum de ___ années d’expérience en services financiers, en gestion de portefeuille de clients et/ou en développement des affaires, idéalement auprès d’entrepreneurs, de professionnels incorporés ou d’une clientèle fortunée.

Indicateurs de performance

La performance dans ce rôle sera notamment évaluée en fonction des indicateurs suivants:

  • Le nombre de nouveaux clients intégrés, les revenus générés, les actifs sous gestion recueillis et le volume de primes d’assurance placées;
  • Le taux de conversion des occasions d’affaires, le taux de fidélisation de la clientèle et la satisfaction de la clientèle;
  • Le nombre de références et de présentations obtenues ainsi que le nombre de révisions annuelles complétées.
