Job description
Lead impactful policy initiatives at the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) as the Senior Director of Economic Development and Infrastructure. This hybrid role drives advocacy for First Nations rights and involves strategic leadership. The Senior Director will oversee initiatives within the Economic Development and Infrastructure Branch, ensuring alignment with AFN's political objectives. Key skills include strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of First Nations governance, and the ability to navigate complex political environments. This role requires building relationships with First Nations leaders and external partners to promote economic growth and infrastructure development. Key Responsibilities: • Lead planning and implementation of branch initiatives • Develop strategies for national advocacy in economic development • Build relationships with leaders and external partners • Provide strategic advice to management and the CEO • Oversee policy reports and key document delivery Requirements: • Minimum 5 years in senior management roles • Degree in Economics, Political Science, or related field • Understanding of First Nations economic issues • Experience managing complex projects • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Drive First Nations priorities forward with your strategic leadership in this vital role at AFN. #J-18808-Ljbffr
