THEROLE IN A NUTSHELL

Base Salary: CAD $59688.00 - 91109.00

GreenShield-NKS is a specialty pharmacy and healthcarecompany focused on the handling and service of injectable infused and biologicmedications. Greenshield provides high quality service by strategicallyfocusing on chronic autoimmune and neurological conditions such as: rheumatoidarthritis gastrointestinal diseases dermatological diseases strokerehabilitation migraines and multiple sclerosis. We are looking for a Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to join ourmulti-disciplinary team. The nurse will administer infusion therapy forGreenShield-NKS in Ottawa:

• Provide exceptional patient and customer service in keeping with GreenShield-NKS Health values.
• Administer intravenous therapy and monitor patients under the care of a physician.
• Administer intramuscular vaccination and TB skin testing as ordered
• Take appropriate action in situations where the safety and well-being of the patient may be compromised.
• Adhere to best work safety practices and procedures
• Report Adverse Events as needed
• Adhere to nursing practices as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Commitment to continuing education
• Minimum of 1 year experience with IVs hospital nursing preferred
• Experience with IV antibiotics and biologics preferred
• Experience with Pediatric patient population an asset

TRAVEL & TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS
This role supports multiple infusion clinic locations. As such the successful candidate must have reliable transportation and be comfortable traveling to varying clinic sites within the local region as operational needs arise.

• Ability to travel between clinic locations on scheduled workdays
• Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Flexibility to support different clinic locations with advance notice

WHO WERE LOOKING FOR

• Current registration in good standing as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience; infusion therapy acute/critical care or specialty pharma experience preferred.
• Certification in BLS (required); ACLS CVAA and PALS considered strong assets.
• Proficiency with documentation tools Microsoft Office (Outlook Word) and EMR systems.
• Familiarity with adverse event reporting and pharmacovigilance protocols.
• Ability to work independently and within a team-based model with strong problem-solving and clinical judgment skills.
• Demonstrated patient-centered communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation as occasional travel may be required.
