What we are looking for:

Reporting to the Senior Managing Director and Fund Manager, we are seeking a Vice President, Deputy Fund Manager role to support portfolio strategy, execution, performance, investor communications and governance for the flagship Fiera Real Estate CORE Fund; a C$5.2B open-ended Canadian real estate investment strategy that offers stable, long-term, risk‑protected income from commercial and multi-residential assets on behalf of its institutional investors.

This is a highly visible role for a senior real estate investment professional seeking to help shape one of Canada’s leading open‑ended core real estate strategies.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Portfolio Management

  • Work closely with the Fund Manager and research teams to evaluate top‑down market risks and opportunities, as well as bottom‑up asset‑level performance.
  • Assist with the development and execution of long‑term business plans to maximize portfolio value and investment returns within the Fund’s parameters.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against established budgets and track Key Performance Indicators to mitigate risk and create value.

Investment & Transaction Execution

  • Oversee due diligence, financial modeling, and underwriting of potential property acquisitions/divestments, credit/debt facilities and key joint ventures.
  • Strong expertise in asset management and associated leasing, property management, sustainable investment.

Investor Relations / Governance

  • Support the investor relations and sales teams with client‑facing interactions for retention and capital raising.
  • Assist the Fund Manager in client reviews, consultant updates, prospect due diligence, Investment and Advisory Committees, conferences and detailed RFPs.

Requirements:

  • Financial and property performance acumen, cash‑flow analysis, valuation techniques and deep understanding of NOI, Cap Rates and IRR. Ability to review and critique complex financial models (using Excel and Argus) for acquisitions, developments, and dispositions.
  • Utilize robust macro‑economic and local real‑estate market research, forward modeling, and industry analytics, that culminate in strategies designed to drive outperformance and risk‑aware investment decisions.
  • Working knowledge across a variety of real‑estate asset types, products and strategies with an understanding of income‑producing, value‑add and development asset profiles.
  • Well respected within the real‑estate community and investment management industry, with the capacity to develop meaningful relationships with institutional investors, consultants, partners, and market participants.
  • Solid broker and industry relationships nationally supporting research, investment and asset management activities.
  • Working experience with a real‑estate investment manager, real‑estate investment trust, a consulting firm, investment bank or possibly an LP.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, self‑motivated in sourcing and structuring capital to sustain company growth.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, complemented by polished written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team‑oriented, bringing a collaborative approach to client development and management enabling coordination with in‑house legal, compliance, ESG, accounting and finance teams, accordingly. Requires an ability to be resourceful and work across functional groups and build consensus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in real‑estate/planning, economics, business or a related/equivalent field. An MBA or relevant Master’s degree is ideal.
  • Travel and valid driver’s license required.

Additional Information:

  • Fiera Capital adheres to a hybrid working environment with 4 days in‑office per week.

For all positions in Quebec (Montreal and Laval), proficiency in French, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Working English proficiency is also required in order to serve our offices and clients around the world.
