Job description
Unlock your potential with Ciena as an Automated Testing Engineer focusing on optical components. This role encompasses development and support of automated systems in an inclusive and flexible environment. Ciena is at the forefront of high-speed connectivity and is searching for a Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in automated testing. In this crucial role, you will collaborate with R&D and manufacturing partners to ensure robust testing solutions for optical technologies. Your contributions will enhance product quality and operational efficiencies in manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain automated testing systems for optical components • Advise on instrument selection for testing setup • Drive improvements in yield and reduce testing durations • Analyze failures and implement necessary corrective actions • Lead transfers and developments of test systems at manufacturing partners Requirements: • Minimum 5 years in automated test system development • Proven experience in optical or high-speed electronic testing • Proficiency in MATLAB; knowledge of C# and/or Python is advantageous • Strong communication and accountability skills • Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in engineering Bring your expertise to Ciena to make a significant impact in optical component testing. #J-18808-Ljbffr
