POSITION SUMMARY

• Work with physicians patients families and interprofessional teams
• Provide clinical services including assessment intervention and consultation within outpatient Physiotherapy which could include patients with orthopaedic neurological and rehabilitation needs.
• Provide clinical services including assessment intervention and consultation for Chronic Pain patients within outpatient Physiotherapy Chronic Pain Clinic and during inpatient admissions
• Provide clinical services including assessment intervention and consultation for Chronic Pain patients
• Communicate all pertinent information with the healthcare team school and community agencies in the most effective and efficient manner to plan implement and review the patients total care program
• Participate in ongoing education and training and remain up to date on best practice
• Collaborate with the outpatient Physiotherapy team to prioritize and manage workload
• Participate in the supervision of students and support personnel and in teaching and clinical research
• Represent Physiotherapy and Chronic Pain on CHEO or external partner committees
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

• Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
• Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (Essential)
• Minimum of two years experience in paediatrics (Essential)
• Minimum of two years experience with patients with orthopaedic neurological and rehabilitation needs (Essential)
• Experience with Chronic Pain patients (Preferred)
• Experience and/or interest in clinical research (Essential)
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing (Essential)
• Demonstrated ability to work interprofessionally (Essential)
• Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills (Essential)
• Bilingualism (English and French) (Preferred)
