The Role:
You will have the opportunity to bepart ofa very specialteam for Live NationsnewestCanadian venue HISTORY Ottawa.A state-of-the-artvenuewith a capacity of up to 2000hostingover 180 concerts and private events annually.If you are ready to be a part of Ottawas most memorable and historic showsthis role might be for you!
This role reports directly to HISTORYs Senior Operations Manager while overseeing the premium sales team. Responsibilities include managing a team of 10 staff developing engaging salesand marketingincentivesand strategies and learning and operatingSevenRooms Square andArchticssystems to maximize efficiency and profitability. The role also oversees guest and employee satisfaction ensuring operational standards aremaintainedwhile exceeding departmental goalswithin Live Nation and MLSE.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for training of all non-Food & Beverage showpremiumpositions to service theVIP loungeandPremiumSeat locations.
Works with the SeniorOperations Managerin conjunction with MLSE to help market and sell premium seats and experiences.
Leads and manages team to executenightly operations in the premium space.
Schedules and assigns tasks and positionson event days.
Participates in pre-shiftpremiumoperations meeting with PSS team Operations Supervisor &F&B Manager.
Conducts all pre-shift meetings and assignmentswithin PSS team.
Acts as main liaison between PSS and operations team.
Assistsin set-up and organization and cleaning of box seating VIPloungeVIP entranceand concierge stands.
Reviews box seat inventory and updates sold map prior to show and communicates properly to the team.
Maintains integrity of PSS program and ensuresPremiumteammaintainsopen lines of communication toidentifyand rectify problems in real time.
Manages the VIPPremiumloungeas point of contact for vendors entertainment etc.
Monitors allPremiumlocations throughout the evening includingcontrollingcapacityin these spaces.
Directs VIP hosts to greet box seat guests after arrival and follow-up throughout the evening.
Works with Box OfficeManageron ticket issues throughout show.
Assists VIP service team as needed with closing open tabs at night end.
Assists Security with challenging VIP clients and tables.
AttendsmeetingsaswithSeniorOperationsManagerandF&B Manager.
Works collaboratively with other departments to maximize operational efficiency while delivering a once-in-a-lifetime experience to all current and future client-based fans.
Elevates the client experience.
Accomplishesadditionaltasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Must have3 years experience inhospitalitywith a proventrack recordof leading a professional efficient high quality service-oriented operation in a fast paced and demanding environment.
Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills.
Must have supervisorycoachingand staff development experience.
Musthave a strong business aptitude.
Must be Smart Serve Certified andat least19 years of age or older.
Experience using point of salesand inventorysystems;SquareSevenroomsandArchticsanasset butnot.
Have an incredible ability to thrive in a fast-paced andhigh-volumeenvironment whilemaintainingfirst-classhospitality.
Strong communicationskills including listening skills and ability to communicate with guests and respond to inquiries.
French verbal and writtenan asset.
Must be able to work evenings weekends and holidays asrequired.

The expected compensation for this position in Ontariois: $25 per hour.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walksoftenthroughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets office machinery etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
