Who We Are; What We Do; Where We’re Going Magnet Forensics is a global leader in the development of digital investigative software that acquires, analyzes, and shares evidence from computers, smartphones, tablets, and IoT-related devices. We are continually innovating so our customers can deploy advanced and effective tools to protect their companies, communities, and countries. Serving thousands of customers globally, our solutions are playing a crucial role in modernizing digital investigations, helping investigators fight crime, protect assets, and guard national security. With employees based around the world, Magnet Forensics has been expanding our global presence. As a part of Magnet Forensics, you can expect to make a difference in the world, no matter what role you play. You’ll be supported through learning and development, not to mention an incredible team with unbelievable talent and integrity. If you think you would be the right person to join our team working towards this goal, we would love to hear from you!

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and customer-focused Director of Product Management to lead the Examination & Analysis domain across our digital forensics portfolio.

This role is responsible for defining and driving the vision, strategy, and execution for forensic examination and investigative analysis workflows across desktop, cloud, hybrid, and platform-enabled environments. While the Magnet Axiom, a Magnet Flagship Product, remains a core responsibility, the scope of this role extends beyond a single product and focuses on the broader workflow, capability, and platform ecosystem supporting digital investigations.

The ideal candidate brings strong product leadership experience, deep customer empathy, and the ability to align cross-functional teams around a shared strategic direction. This leader will help evolve the portfolio toward more connected workflows, shared capabilities, and scalable analysis experiences while partnering closely with centralized AI leadership to apply AI in ways that meaningfully improve examiner and investigator outcomes.

Reporting to the VP of Product Management, this role will lead a team of Product Managers and collaborate closely with Engineering, UX, GTM, Customer Success, and executive leadership to deliver impactful customer and business outcomes.

What You'll Do

Strategic Vision & Domain Leadership

  • Define and execute the long-term vision and strategy for the Examination & Analysis domain.

  • Drive workflow and JTBD-oriented product strategy focused on investigator and examiner outcomes.

  • Identify opportunities for shared capabilities, workflow integration, platform evolution, and portfolio convergence.

  • Balance near-term customer needs with long-term strategic and architectural direction.

  • Partner with centralized AI leadership to deliver impactful Agentic investigative capabilities.

Product Portfolio & Execution

  • Own roadmap strategy, prioritization, and lifecycle management for products and capabilities within the Examination & Analysis domain.

  • Utilize AI and Claude to drive lean Product Discovery, Experimentation and Analysis.

  • Drive execution in partnership with Engineering and UX to deliver high-quality investigative workflows and customer experiences.

  • Establish and track success metrics tied to adoption, workflow efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business impact.

  • Support portfolio planning, investment prioritization, and cross-functional initiative alignment.

Customer & Market Leadership

  • Engage directly with customers and investigative agencies to understand workflows, pain points, and emerging challenges.

  • Monitor market trends, competitive movements, and technology developments across digital forensics and investigative analysis.

  • Translate customer and market insights into differentiated product and workflow strategies

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers.

  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and customer-centric execution.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, AI leadership, and peer Product leaders to drive aligned execution across the portfolio.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.

  • Proven experience leading complex technical product portfolios in digital forensics, cybersecurity, enterprise software, SaaS, or adjacent domains.

  • Strong understanding of workflow-driven product strategy, platform thinking, and capability-oriented portfolio management.

  • Experience leading initiatives across desktop, cloud, hybrid, or platform-enabled environments.

  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.

  • Experience applying emerging technologies, including AI-assisted capabilities, to solve customer workflow challenges is preferred.

  • Experience working with Law Enforcement, Government, or regulated investigative environments is preferred but not required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business-related field required; advanced degree preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid or remote work environment in Canada or the US

  • 20-25% travel required, which could include international travel

These in-person moments help us build stronger connections, spark new ideas, and celebrate our successes together. Most days, you can choose what works best for you, while staying in tune with your team’s goals. We’re excited to welcome you to our team and look forward to achieving great things together - both in the office and wherever you work best!
