Civil Engineer – Land Development

We’ve opened a role in our Ottawa office for a talented, entrepreneurial Intermediate Civil Engineer to work alongside exceptional people in JLR’s Land Development group.

Your Role as an Intermediate Civil Engineer:

Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As an Intermediate Civil Engineer, your role will include:

• Applying civil engineering principles to the design of land development projects, including site layout, grading, servicing, and stormwater management systems.
• Leading the preparation of functional servicing reports, stormwater management reports, and detailed design packages to support municipal approvals and
• Managing subdivision and site plan projects from concept through to construction and assumption, including schedules, budgets, and contract administration.
• Providing technical oversight during construction, including site reviews and coordination with contractors and municipalities to ensure compliance with design intent and approvals.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships while supporting new development opportunities and proposals within the land development sector.
• Mentoring and supporting junior staff in the delivery of land development design projects within a multidisciplinary team environment.
