Please note this is a casual position with 20-40 hours expected per week that will last approximately 3-4 months

Your main responsibilities

• Learn new instrumentation and monitoring technologies and deploy them in the field;
• Provide on-site instrumentation support and basic troubleshooting;
• Install, remove, and maintain monitoring equipment, including but not limited to seismographs, noise monitors, vibration monitors, dust monitors, weather stations, tiltmeters, inclinometers, rock temperature sensors, water level sensors/VWPs, strain gauges, and digital/manual crack monitoring equipment. Knowledge of this equipment is considered an asset but is not required;
• Provide on-site noise, vibration, overpressure, and hydrostatic pressure monitoring for construction, blasting, and mining activities to help ensure compliance with applicable project requirements, guidelines, and regulations;
• Assist with reviewing remote noise and vibration data and preparing factual weekly monitoring reports for senior staff;
• Support field inspections, equipment checks, and monitoring setup during active construction activities;
• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules.

What makes you unique

• Degree, diploma, or coursework in an engineering, environmental, technology, or related field is considered an asset;
• Valid provincial driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation;
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely in reports;
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis;
• Comfortable working outdoors and on active construction sites;
• Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety

The salary range for this position is $47,934 to $62,913 CAD base per annum, based on the responsibilities of the role, internal equity, and current market benchmarks. The final offer will be determined based on a combination of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications, their positioning within our internal compensation structure, and relevant geographic cost-of-living considerations, where applicable. This range represents a realistic and good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this role.

Compensation may also include a comprehensive benefits package, performance incentives, or bonus eligibility depending on role level and business unit. We aim to foster transparency, respect candidate time and ensure equitable compensation aligned with our company values.
