RoleOverview
As a Business DevelopmentManager at ABGi Canada, you will report to the Sales Manager withthe ability to sell throughout Canada.
Your objective will be topursue new logos, opportunities with innovative companies meetingcriteria. You will use your sales skills and lean on your abilityto build long-term relationships to support our customers in grantsand subsidies, tax credits to achieve success.
In your role youwill hunt new business 80% while spending 20% of the time accountmanaging and building out existing accounts or partnerships orassisting with renewals.
You will be partnered and supported by alegacy team of industry leaders committed to your successthroughout your tenure.
This role will be Remote.
A Day In TheLife
- Generate leads bysoliciting the market and cultivating your own personal network andleveraging internal tools as needed
- Maintainclose contact with consultants, outside professionals andassociations to identify and develop business leads throughreferrals
- Proactively manage territory throughnew business prospecting and management of existingaccounts.
- Actively research and outreach totarget decision makers while selling, creating meetings bothin-person and virtual, and bringing the sales cycle to aclose.
- Diagnose prospects' business climate,challenges, strategic needs and pain points and develop a realvalue proposition to positively impact their business
- Collaborate with senior leadership to developgo-to-market strategies and deliverables
- Partner with internal consulting team determine best inclass value positioning and service to assist with current andfuture customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required, with a masters degree orabove preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’experience of sales or business development in the consulting orprofessional services industry to the middle market
- Ability to speak both French and English fluently in abusiness setting
- Proven experience using asales methodology to generate sales leads, open doors and managethe sales cycle to contract signing;
- Consultative sales experience at the executive level (Clevel)
- Excellent communication skills (verbaland written) combined with strong listening skills;
- Previous experience working with a large consulting firmis a plus
- Previous experience selling orexperience with SR&ED is a plus
- Knowledge selling or working in the financial servicesindustry is a plus
