RoleOverview
As a Business DevelopmentManager at ABGi Canada, you will report to the Sales Manager with afocused territory of Ontario and surrounding area.
Your objectivewill be to pursue new logos, opportunities with innovativecompanies meeting criteria. You will use your sales skills and leanon your ability to build long-term relationships to support ourcustomers in grants and subsidies, tax credits to achieve success.
In your role you will hunt new business 80% while spending 20% ofthe time account managing and building out existing accounts orpartnerships or assisting with renewals.
You will be partnered andsupported by a legacy team of industry leaders committed to yoursuccess throughout your tenure.
This role will be hybrid.
ADay In The Life
- Generate leads by soliciting the market and cultivatingyour own personal network and leveraging internal tools asneeded
- Maintain close contact withconsultants, outside professionals and associations to identify anddevelop business leads through referrals
- Proactively manage territory through new businessprospecting and management of existing accounts.
- Actively research and outreach to target decision makerswhile selling, creating meetings both in-person and virtual, andbringing the sales cycle to a close.
- Diagnoseprospects' business climate, challenges, strategic needs and painpoints and develop a real value proposition to positively impacttheir business
- Collaborate with seniorleadership to develop go-to-market strategies anddeliverables
- Partner with internal consultingteam determine best in class value positioning and service toassist with current and future customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required, with a masters degree orabove preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’experience of sales or business development in the consulting orprofessional services industry to the middle market
- Proven experience using a sales methodology to generatesales leads, open doors and manage the sales cycle to contractsigning;
- Consultative sales experience at theexecutive level (C level)
- Excellentcommunication skills (verbal and written) combined with stronglistening skills;
- Previous experience workingwith a large consulting firm is a plus
- Previous experience selling or experience withSR&ED is a plus
- Knowledge selling orworking in the financial services industry is a plus
