Overview :
The Field Data Collection Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day field data collection activities, coordinating field teams, and ensuring accurate, timely delivery of data to internal stakeholders. This role acts as the central coordination point between field staff, Engineering, and Quality teams, ensuring data integrity, traceability, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities :
Team & Field Coordination-
Supervise and support Field Data Collectors during daily operations-
Coordinate which trains and routes field staff are assigned to each day-
Act as the primary point of contact for field-related questions and issue resolution-
Ensure coverage for weekday and weekend shifts as required
Data Management & Reporting-
Collect, consolidate, and validate all field data submissions-
Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency prior to submission-
Upload and manage data repositories on SharePoint in accordance with project standards-
Maintain organized and traceable records of all collected data
Stakeholder Communication-
Compile and distribute data reports to the Engineering team via email-
Provide complete data sets and supporting documentation to the Quality team-
Communicate schedule changes, data gaps, or field issues promptly to relevant stakeholders
Quality & Compliance-
Ensure data collection activities follow defined procedures and quality requirements-
Support audits or reviews by providing requested data and documentation-
Identify trends or recurring issues in field data and escalate as needed
Required Skills & Experience : -
Previous experience in field operations supervision or team coordination-
Strong data organization and attention to detail-
Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, and Outlook-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, operational environment-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications : -
Experience working in rail, transportation, or infrastructure projects-
Familiarity with quality or engineering data workflows-
Prior experience supervising temporary or shift‑based teams
