Field Data Collector (Acoustics/Transit)

Role Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to assist with a sound-mapping project on our client's local light rail system. Your primary responsibility will be to ride between two specific stations and use a provided iPad (or similar device) to capture high-quality audio recordings of the train's interior environment.

Key Responsibilities : -

Audio Recording : Operate recording software on a mobile device to capture sound profiles during transit.-

Data Logging : Accurately log the time, train number, and equipment number for each trip.-

Quality Control : Ensure recordings are clear, uninterrupted, and saved according to the project's naming conventions.-

Route Consistency : Travel back and forth between [Station A] and [Station B] for the duration of the shift.

Requirements-

Reliability : Ability to maintain a consistent schedule and perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.-

Technical Savvy : Comfortable using iPads, mobile apps, and basic file management.-

Focus : Must be able to remain observant and professional in a public transit setting.-

Physical Ability : Able to sit or stand on a moving train for extended periods (4-6 hours).

Preferred Qualifications-

Experience with audio recording equipment or software.

You are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all recorded audio, project goals, and data collection methods. All recordings remain the exclusive property of the company, and the distribution or sharing of any project materials-including on social media-is strictly prohibited.
