Job description

Objective

Chick‑fil‑A Tanger Ottawa is currently seeking a team member for BOH‑Kitchen team – Full time.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold the restaurant vision, mission, culture, and core values at all times.
  • Support our Winning Hearts Every Day strategy through excellent service and teamwork.
  • Follow all Pathway training standards and continuously strive for operational excellence.
  • Adhere to our First Mile, Second Mile, and Recovery Service Models.
  • Comply with all food safety, quality, and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times.
  • Execute standard operating procedures effectively, including handling kitchen equipment and systems.
  • Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment while meeting speed, quality, and safety expectations.
  • Demonstrate strong personal qualities, including humility, collaboration, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is an asset but not required—training provided.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate integrity, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Skills and Working Conditions

  • Comfortable working in evening shifts up to 11pm
  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Must be available to work Mondays - Saturdays
  • Must be available to work at least 2 Saturdays a month
  • Must be comfortable taking guest orders outside in the Drive Thru

Today, Chick‑fil‑A restaurants serve great tasting food to millions of guests every year, in more than 3,000 restaurants in 48 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and Canada. Chick‑fil‑A opened its first Canadian restaurant in 2019. Chick‑fil‑A was officially founded in 1967 by S. Truett Cathy. He made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia. Having worked seven days a week in restaurants open 24 hours, Truett saw the importance of closing on Sundays so that he and his employees could set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose — a practice we uphold today.
