Arcadis Vancouver office is looking for a Senior Healthcare Architect to join our team. You will work in highly qualified team of healthcare architects, medical planners and interior designers working on a variety of healthcare projects in BC, as well as across Canada and USA.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and development of healthcare facilities along with engaging clients and teams delivering creative solutions.
This position provides the professional an opportunity to work with collaborative teams throughout various project stages delivering innovative healthcare solutions for our clients.
Candidates should be experienced in all phases of healthcare planning and design, and looking to accept a leadership role.

Role accountabilities :
- Leading multiple project teams consisting of architects, job captains and intern architects, as required based on the type and size of project
- Reviewing drawings and specifications for quality control and mentoring staff in applicable building codes and construction details
- Working individually or part of a larger team depending on the size of the project to complete feasibility studies, development permit applications, building permit applications and contract documents for tender
- Meeting with clients and representing the firm at various working groups and leading presentations.
- Overseeing the contract administration phase of the work and administering the construction contract on behalf of the client including performing field reviews
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience :
- 10-15 years of experience in architectural field
- Licensed Architect
- Knowledge and application of applicable building codes
- Detailed understanding of all phases of project delivery and delivery models such as Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build and Construction Management
- Advanced Revit skills are a benefit
- Excellent communication skills are a requirement
- Proposal writing is a plus
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
