What YOU Will Do

In order to position Pomerleau in its various business markets and ensure its excellent reputation, the Senior Advisor develops and deploys external communications strategies.

These strategies are developed on behalf of internal clients, and must be thought through from a 360 perspective, and refined in collaboration with expert colleagues.

Consulting and project management

• Understand business needs, objectives and strategies;
• Assess collaborators' needs, provide advice and make recommendations;
• Build external communications strategies and plans aligned with business needs;
• Advise, train and support various internal collaborators during external speaking engagements ( media interviews, customer presentations, public speaking engagements, etc.);
• Act as project manager, mainly for 360 communications campaigns.

Writing

• Write narratives, pitches, corporate positioning, speeches, business presentations, key messages, Q&As, synopses, reports and various bilingual content adapted to different channels;
• Conduct research, produce reports, and develop briefings to support internal collaborators and company experts (, for customer meetings).

Media relations and issues management

• Develop media relations strategies, manage media requests and approach the media;
• Update, deploy and maintain crisis management plan;
• Act as spokesperson on occasion.

What YOU Will Bring

• An interest for current events and public affairs;
• Ability to analyze and synthesize in order to evaluate, discuss and resolve problems and issues;
• Both autonomous and a team player;
• Ability to manage several urgent files simultaneously;
• University degree in an appropriate discipline and more than 5 years' relevant experience in communications, public relations, public affairs or journalism;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken;
• Familiarity with Office 365 suite, and proficiency in PowerPoint.

Assets

• Knowledge of construction, engineering, infrastructure or finance;
• Experience in crisis and issues management;
• Experience in an agency or large company with national operations.
