Senior Product Manager, GenAI Platforms

Business applications of these learning systems span many fields including recommendations, marketing, supply chain optimization and merchandising.

These fields require a sophisticated technology stack that allows for complex data and machine learning systems combined with configurability for rapid testing and exploration.

We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager to accelerate the development of our technology stack for GenAI capabilities, spanning needs for our science teams working reimagining customer and supplier experiences, teams working on transforming business processes, to increasing workforce productivity.

You will act with a high degree of freedom and ownership, setting platform vision, forming strong relationships with senior cross-functional partners (both technical and non-technical), aligning on a shared vision for success, and delivering results that create meaningful business impact.

You’ll translate business / user needs into a pragmatic and iterative strategy and roadmap, along with providing specifications and user stories for your engineering team(s), making smart trade-offs between time and complexity to develop market ready solutions.

You’ll serve as the subject matter expert on the platform, push for adoption for new use cases, and continually improve our platform capabilities.

What You'll do :

  • Understand the landscape of GenAI tooling and approaches to solving business problems and increasing workforce productivity, and drive the subsequent solution buy vs build, rollout and adoption with cross-functional teams
  • Conduct research and proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives, exploring emerging technologies and applying to value-driving initiatives
  • Be the subject matter expert and owner of your products, including capabilities for science teams, and business / technology teams
  • Be a highly visible thought partner to senior level leaders (incl. C-suite leadership), acting as their primary go-to for product strategy and related cross-functional initiatives
  • Prioritize many requests and ideas for features by understanding the business value and impact, weighed against the risks and development cost
  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of platform enhancements and support
  • Develop and maintain a product vision and roadmap, keeping stakeholders and constituents up to date on the top level goals and timelines
  • Market your product internally to various departments to ensure all available users know about your product and how they could value from it, measure adoption and invest in any gaps proactively
  • Translate product strategy / outcomes into initiatives into engineering stories / tickets, allowing engineering to run with your ideas
  • Deeply understand the technology used in your products, the strong and weak points, and become an expert at market options, and influence the pivots when necessary
  • Regularly communicate our periodic goals and progress to keep stakeholders apprised of your work and product progress

We Are a Match Because You Have :

  • 7+ years of product experience in developing internal platforms, preferably with data or ML platforms, that were used by other engineers or scientists
  • Understanding and hands-on experience in implementing generative AI models to business problems, ideally working with several popular LLMs
  • Strong experience measuring adoption (and related engagement metrics) and developing plans to address gaps or user experiences issues
  • Proven SQL knowledge can use SQL to pull ad hoc data when necessary
  • Strong written and verbal communication and a demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrable ability to be technically hands-on, up to architecting high-level system plans (no coding)
  • Drive to deliver amazing products that customer centric with clear KPIs on measuring their effectiveness and usability
  • Ability to work across several stakeholder groups and juggle many large initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to structure problems, develop clear hypotheses, and prioritize work against the largest impact initiatives
  • Experience working with engineering teams, running sprints, stand-ups, and backlog
  • Cultivate senior presence and be the leader of your product
  • Familiarity with Google cloud and its data offerings
