BDO Canada invites an experienced leader to head the Tax digital transformation strategy, aligning the service line with the firm’s Innovation & Change agenda.

Your Opportunity

Lead a technology‑enabled, future‑ready Tax practice, embedding AI, automation, data analytics and digital tools into client delivery, operations and business development.

Key Objectives

• Develop and execute a Tax Transformation Roadmap that drives operational efficiency, client value and profitability.
• Champion the adoption of AI and digital solutions across all Tax service lines.
• Partner with firm‑wide Innovation & Change to ensure alignment with BDO Canada’s strategic priorities.
• Foster a culture of transformation—empowering Tax professionals to innovate, experiment and improve.
• Work with Service Line leaders to identify and build new digitally enabled service offerings.

Core Responsibilities

• Define the Tax Transformation strategy, linking digital adoption directly to business outcomes and ROI.
• Lead integration of automation, data analytics and AI into Tax operations and service delivery.
• Coordinate with the firm’s Innovation & Change team to prioritize initiatives, manage pilots and ensure alignment.
• Establish success metrics and report progress to Tax Senior Leadership on ROI, efficiency and adoption.

• Measurable ROI on digital and automation initiatives.
• Successful integration of AI and analytics into client delivery and operations.
• Increased efficiency, profitability and innovation capability across Tax.
• Improved client and employee digital experience.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Strong leadership and project management experience in digital transformation, ideally within Tax or Professional Services.
• Expertise in AI, automation and emerging technologies.
• Proven ability to execute complex projects, manage change and deliver measurable impact.
• Strategic thinker with hands‑on capability to deliver outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a matrixed organization.

Preferred Experience

• Track record of successful stakeholder management and cross‑functional team leadership.
• Experience leveraging AI and generative AI for business innovation.
• History of fostering a culture of innovation and technological advancement.
• Demonstrated capability in implementing both incremental and transformative improvements.
