  • Current opening for an existing vacancy Company Overview : Tiercon Corp. is an automotive supplier committed to the design, manufacture and assembly of quality exterior trim and assembled systems used as original equipment in the automotive market. Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have design, mold, paint, assembly and testing capabilities. Tiercon manages 5 sites across 2 cities employing approximately 550 people throughout Canada. Tiercon is seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Industrial Electrician at our 591 Arvin. Ave Stoney Creek facility.Job Summary & Reporting Structure : The Industrial Electrician is responsible for performing and documenting all necessary maintenance and repairs for all production equipment and facilities, ensuring that plant and processing equipment is in safe and good working order. In addition, They will assist in the resolution of equipment problems and the installation of new equipment. They will be responsible for, adhering to the policies and procedures outlined in the ISO14001 : 2015 AND IATF16949 Quality System and practicing continuous improvement wherever possibleResponsibilities : Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and regulatory policies, and practices ensuring safe, efficient and consistent operation and maintenance of equipment and processesUnderstand and perform safety responsibilities such as hazard identification, equipment lockout and emergency responsePerform daily checks (continuity, current, voltage and resistance) and diagnostics on equipmentRepair, install and test the equipment (Transformers, regulators, motors, generators, electrical control system)Design control panels and install circuit power distributionInterpret the requirements of the Canadian Electrical code and ensure compliancePerform preventive maintenance procedures, to minimize downtime and maintenance costs, and manage equipment efficienciesPerform downtime repair work; troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, identify opportunities for optimizationProgram, troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial equipment and automation including PLCs, HMI, frequency drives and other related devicesEnsure that all work completed meets regulatory guidelines, manufacturers' specifications and internal maintenance proceduresMaintain proper documentation including logs, maintenance records, safety and environment reportsPlan, design, purchase, install and test of new branch control circuits as well as maintenance to existing systems and equipment.Able to work rotating shiftsAble to support extended hours as required Perform other duties as assignedQualifications : Highschool Diploma, Licensed 442A Demonstrated working knowledge of applicable hand tools and applications (PLCs)Minimum 5 years experience in an industrial maintenance rolePrior experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment, robotics and PLC controlled machineryKnowledge and experience in reading electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematicsDemonstrated experience with transformers, switch gears, conveyors, pumps, VFD's, fire alarm panels, HVAC, lighting panels, instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting relay logicTiercon Corp. is proud to be an inclusive and equal opportunity employer as set out in the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.
