In the industrial sector, we offer innovative safety and hazard awareness solutions such as VirtuaLine™ LED and Lasers, SafetyCast™ Virtual Sign Projectors, Smart Proximity Detection System (SPDS™), DockLine™ Laser System, and Brightline™ Alignment Lasers.

In the scientific sector, we specialize in Solid State Laser Systems and collaborate with universities and research institutes worldwide.

In the consumer sector, we provide premium handheld laser pointers for various applications.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Sales and Marketing at our North York, ON office. The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and overseeing all marketing and sales strategies to meet organizational objectives.

This role involves managing a team, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring the company's marketing and sales activities are aligned with its strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Strategic Planning :

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and sales strategies.
  • Align marketing and sales plans with the company's overall business goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.

2. Team Leadership :

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing team.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Train, coach and mentor existing team members.

3. Sales Management :

  • Oversee the development and implementation of sales strategies.
  • Manage key client relationships and negotiate high-value contracts.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide strategic direction for improvement.

4. Marketing Management :

  • Direct marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, advertising, and public relations.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and channels.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing activities and make data-driven decisions.

5. Budgeting and Reporting :

  • Strategically plan and manage the sales and marketing budget.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales and marketing performance.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management.

6. Collaboration :

  • Work closely with other departments, including product development and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and marketing.
  • Coordinate with external partners and vendors.

7. Compliance and Risk Management :

  • Ensure all marketing and sales activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to sales and marketing activities.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience : 15+ experience in sales and marketing roles, with at least 10 years in a leadership role, with a track record of achieving growth targets.
