Chinook Regional Hospital features the following: 20-bed ICU/CCU, 16-bed Level 2+ NICU, 11-bed Pediatric Unit, Level 3 Trauma Center, Active OR and multiple medical/surgical inpatient units. As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will practice to full scope, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to diagnose and manage patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary and related disorders. Your role includes the following: Delivering high-quality respiratory care across diverse settings. Educating patients, families, students, and staff. Supporting process improvement and maintaining accountable practice. Advocating for patients using principles of patient- and family-centered care. Providing technical expertise for respiratory therapy equipment. Therapists at CRH are expected to cover all areas they have been oriented to and supported by Respiratory Services as needed. Description:
As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.
Required Qualifications:Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
