The Opportunity :
As a Maintenance Technician within the SNRI Maintenance Department you will be joining a multi-disciplined maintenance team supporting the Pine River Gas Plant.
Playing a key role within our group, this role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities through preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements throughout Pine River Gas Plant.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
In this role, you will have significant accountability for the operation and maintenance of the Pine River Gas Plant.
Key Accountabilities :
- Perform hands on work required based on the criticality and availability of equipment.
- Coordinate activities of maintenance contractor(s), ensuring that all relevant procedures are followed
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and engineering standards to ensure maintenance projects adhere to compliance.
- Provide technical assistance in the troubleshooting of all field systems related to your qualifications
- Take proactive measures to address improvement opportunities through the Management of Change system.
- Work in cooperation with the Planning group to scope out routine and major jobs.
- Identify recurring problems and documents them so that an engineered solution can be provided.
- Maintain close contact with the Operations group to insure that the jobs are prioritized correctly.
- Provide a daily report of relevant activities.
- Must be capable and willing to work in other trades and provide assistance to other journeypersons as required.
- Ensure compliance of Sukunka Natural and industry standards and procedures. This will include supporting, participating, and driving our overall safety program, safety awareness, and safety targets.

- Comply with all Health and Safety Requirements established by Sukunka Natural Resources Limited.
- Know and comply with all regulations and legislative requirements of WorkSafe BC and environmental standards.
- Follow safe work procedures and ensure all personnel comply;
- Report any injury or illness immediately;
- Report unsafe acts and conditions;
- Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available and is worn where and when required.

- Job location : Chetwynd, BC
- Shift schedule : 4x3, rotation (Monday Thursday)
- This is a safety sensitive position
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Wage rate : $58.64 per hour
Skills & Qualifications :
- Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification in any of the following trades qualifications :
- Millwright
- Pipefitter
- Instrumentation
- Industrial Electrician
- 2+ years’ experience in the oil sands and / or oil and gas plants preferred
- Strong computer skills - working knowledge of Word, Excel, CMMS.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills are critical to this position.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License or equivalent.
