Our Ottawa branch is currently in search of a new Landscape Maintenance & Snow Supervisor – someone eager to make an impact, lead a team, and grow their career with the largest commercial outdoor services company in Canada. That’s where you come in. As our new Landscape Maintenance & Snow Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to supervise field operations and staff to ensure the timely and quality completion of services for our clients. Day to day, here’s what you’ll do: * Report to our shop every morning to organize and assign crew schedules and routes, materials, equipment, and work instructions * Visit multiple job sites per day to oversee field staff, provide maintenance and equipment support, and deal with any customer concerns * Hold field staff accountable to proper work procedures and health and safety requirements * Uphold crew morale on site, promote team effort, and handle any staff issues as they arise * Provide on-site training to staff related to landscaping/snow and ice removal, customer service, and health and safety * Monitor equipment and coordinate replacements/off-site repairs (and occasionally perform basic repairs on site) * Oversee quality of work on site, to ensure crews are meeting Clintar’s service standards * Keep account managers up to date with any client concerns/issues * In coordination with management and HR, monitor/manage crew performance, provide disciplinary action, and manage workplace accidents * Monitor and maintain the facility/yard organization * Create daily/weekly crew and work schedules Your biggest asset in this role will be your ability to hold staff accountable to our quality and service standards. You’ll elevate the quality of our landscape and snow services through your hands-on training of field staff. You’ll teach and empower your crews to solve problems independently, work efficiently, and deliver excellent customer service. Working With Us: As part of the Clintar Ottawa team, here’s what you can expect: * A full-time permanent role, with consistent work year-round * In landscaping season (spring, summer, fall), typical schedule of Monday to Friday, between 6:30 am – 3:30/4 pm * Winter scheduling is flexible and weather dependent - you will be required to be on call to respond to winter snow/ice storms * We’ll provide you with a company truck and cover all fuel expenses * Competitive annual salary, plus benefits and annual bonuses based on company performance * Opportunities for career advancement within Clintar Clintar is invested in its people. Qualifications * Experience in commercial outdoor services industry (landscaping and snow and ice removal work) * Experience leading and supervising field staff is preferred (i.e. crew leader, supervisor, manager, or similar) * Experience operating landscaping/snow and ice removal equipment and machinery * Mechanical aptitude, and experience performing basic mechanical repairs on machines/equipment * Valid G license (required) and DZ license (an asset, but not required) * Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. * A security clearance and/or drug and alcohol test may be required for work on some job sites * Degree/diploma/certificate from a college or university in a relevant program is a plus but not required How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
