Job Description

ADGA is hiring Senior Software Testers to work on a Canadian defence program we manage. The Senior Software tester will be developing and executing testing plans in support of Military Command Systems.

The Senior Software Tester will be responsible for tasks that may include but are not limited to:

• Test Planning and coordination for MCS applications.
• Providing application guidance and assistance via telephone or in-person concerning test planning and coordination of MCS applications;
• Liaise with senior users to assist them in identifying and defining operational requirements and how they impact the test plans;
• Establish a validation and verification capability which assumes functional and performance compliance in accordance with feedback from users;
• Establish a validation and verification capability which assumes functional and performance compliance in accordance with feedback from users. troubleshoot application problems using various problem determination methods such as tracing prior execution of code, and obtaining client feedback to determine a viable resolution;
• Provide SME (subject matter expertise) using the specialized software;
• Collect new requirements and change requests from users and provide feedback on the impact of the test plan;
• Assist in providing direction/guidance to project directors with regards to the development and improvement of the test plans;
• Filter/test and push reported issues to the GBLS and ACDC tracking systems as well as senior technical staff to ensure validation and verification of tests plans on high-priority items;
• Perform functional and performance compliance of fixed bug before implementation;
• Apply change on tactic and explain the changes of the new release;
• Guide users on how to operate various applications; and
• Any other tester related tasks requested to support operations.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications

• 10 years of demonstrated experience as a Software Tester;

• 8 years of demonstrated experience within the past 10 years testing HRMS applications in large organizations (10000+ users);

• 8 years of demonstrated experience within the past 10 years as an administrator for large organizations (10000+ users) HRMS applications;

• 8 years of demonstrated experience within the past 10 years processing new requirements and change requests for software applications.
